Description

The western lily is a rare endangered lily native to the west coast, specifically in northern California and southern Oregon. These beautiful flowers grow from an elongated bulb. The six curled petals are a reddish color with spots, and have six green stamens have bright red anthers. These plants are threatened by grazing cattle, farming, automotive transportation, and collecting of the bulbs and flowers.

For Your Pet

Not only are these flowers endangered and should be left alone, western lilies are also extremely poisonous to small pets including rabbits, cats, and others. These plants can cause serious kidney damage as well as other life threatening symptoms.

Do not feed your pet western lilies as they can cause serious illness and probable death.
