Description

Schefflera is a genus of flowering trees and shrubs native to Taiwan. Schefflera is also known as dwarf umbrella tree as seven to nine leaflets grow from the tip of the stems and fan out, resembling an umbrella. The clusters of small flowers that grow similarly to the leaves range in colors from yellow to orange and green.

Schefflera plants contain calcium oxalate crystals which are harmful to you and your pet if ingested. Symptoms may include kidney damage and kidney failure, diarrhea, cardiac arrhythmia, swelling of the throat and mouth, labored breathing, lethargy, loss of appetite, and death.
