Description

Rice is a grain that is the seed of the grass species Oryza sativa. As for human consumption, it is a staple food in over half the world’s population, and it is the third largest agricultural commodity in production, after sugarcane and maize. Rice and other grains are not good for your rabbit though.

For Your Pet

Although rice isn’t poisonous to your small pet, you should never give you rabbit rice. Rice can cause bloating and a painful tummy ache. In some cases, this can lead to gastrointestinal stasis, a disease that slows down or completely stops the gut, which can be fatal.

Warning

Rabbits should never eat rice or other grains.
