Description
Lupine, or Lupin, is a genus of flowering plant in the legume family found in North and South America, the Mediterranean, and North Africa. These plants have pale green leaves with little white hairs and flowers called bluebonnets that grow erect, covering the stem. Colors range from mostly blue to white, yellow, and red.

Lupine contain toxic alkaloids that can be severely dangerous to your pet if ingested. People who are allergic to peanuts also have had bad reactions to being around the plant.
