Description

Horehound is a grey-leaved herbaceous perennial plant historically used for medicinal purposes. This plant is about 1 1/2 ft tall with small densely crinkled leaves covered in tiny hairs, resembling mint leaves. They have clusters of small white flowers that bloom on the top of the stem.

Although Horehound is generally safe for humans and can be used for teas and other food items, Horehound is poisonous to small pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and more. Symptoms can include choking, diarrhea, loss of appetite, and more.
