Dahlia
Description
Although the flower head is called one large flower to most people, the Dahlia plant is a cluster of small flowers very close together on one tall fuzzy stem resembling a colorful sunflower with a smaller center. The leaves of a Dahlia are very large and dark green. Dahlias come in a variety of shades including red, purple, orange, pink, and more.
For Your Pet
Rabbits and other small animals tend to stay away from Dahlias because of the bitter taste and fuzzy texture, but it’s possible they may ingest if your pet starts chewing on one. If ingested, it can cause gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea along with appetite loss.
