Description

Avocados are fruits that come from south central Mexico and some parts of southern California. This fruit has a dark green look to the skin and is usually is rough. The inside is soft and light green and is edible for human consumption.

Persin, a substance in avocado is highly toxic to your pet. Ingesting avocado can cause breathing issues, congestive heart failure, and even death. Persin is located in all parts of the avocado, including the rind, seed, and leaves.
